THE DEAL ROOM

FAQ

Our approach is to be flexibile and accommodative. Please use these FAQs as guidelines, not rules.

FOR SCHOOLS

1. What is this program and how does it benefit our students?

Our 7-day intensive equips high school students with real-world finance, capital markets, and corporate strategy skills -- it sets them up for on-campus success when they matriculate at college. The program is designed for students interested in high-power careers e.g., investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, consulting, law.

By partnering with us, your school can offer an elite program without the overhead of developing its own curriculum. Importantly, not all schools are created equal and not all programs are either. We don't think there is any other program out there that can hold weight to ours.

2. How does the partnership work?

We offer two partnership models:

  • Branded Collaboration: We run the program, but it's marketed as an exclusive opportunity for your students.

  • White Label Solution: Your school's branding is front and center while we operate in the background.

Both options provide students with the same high-caliber experience.

3. What topics are covered in the program?

Students gain hands-on experience in:

  • Valuation and Financial Modeling

  • Capital Markets and Trading

  • Mergers and Acquisitions

  • Portfolio Management and Market Psychology

  • Stock Pitch and Investment Case Study

  • Corporate Strategy and Decision Making

Each student completes a group capstone project, preparing them for elite careers in finance, business, and law.

4. Who teaches the program?

Our instructors include former Wall Street professionals, private equity associates, and top-tier consultants with experiences at firms like Bain, Vanguard, WS Development, Salesforce, and Constellation Software.

5. What are the logistics of hosting this program?

We offer on-campus programming (if your school provides space) or can reserve other space e.g., nearby college, office space. We are based in Boston, but have had international engagements -- traveling won't be an issue. We recently held an engagement in Cambridge where we partnered with a local college to reserve space.

Regardless of location or format, each session includes live instruction, interactive case studies, and real-world application.

6. Are you sure you can't do virtual or hybrid?

There is no substitute for the in-person experience especially for team-based, intense work efforts.

7. How competitive is the program?

We maintain selective admissions to ensure a high-caliber cohort of students. We collaborate with schools to recommend top candidates and provide guidelines for applications.

8. Is there any pre-req knowledge or coursework?

Our program will give you the fundamentals. What we need are students with enough intellectual horsepower to follow-along in the case studies and enough spinal fortitude to stand up for their opinions when challenged.

We were liberal arts majors before pursuing careers in finance and consulting and believe those students will excel. STEM and economics-inclined students also make-up a core part of our groups.

9. Can this program be counted as an academic credit?

Many schools offer independent study credit. We can work with your academic office to explore credit options.

FOR PARENTS

1.What makes this program different from other finance programs?

Unlike general business programs, our intensive bootcamp is modeled after elite training at top firms like Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, and McKinsey. Ours is created with the exclusive focus of providing students a competitive edge and headstart when it comes to on-campus recruiting for elite jobs.

2. Does my child need prior finance knowledge?

Our program will give you the fundamentals. What we need are students with enough intellectual horsepower to follow-along in the case studies and enough spinal fortitude to stand up for their opinions when challenged.

We were liberal arts majors before pursuing careers in finance and consulting and believe those students will excel. STEM and economics-inclined students also make-up a core part of our groups.

We typically work with rising juniors, seniors, and college freshmen.

3. What are the benefits for college admissions?

Stand Out in Applications: Applying to Wharton undergrad? Top business schools value this experience since they know you are interested in business and will be able to float during on-campus recruiting.

Competitive Edge for Business Programs: Students gain knowledge that college freshmen in finance programs are just starting to learn.

Letters of Recommendation: Available for top-performing students.
